Daria Kryl (born 1992) is an independent visual artist based in Moscow, Russia.
After getting a postgraduate degree at the Faculty of Philology at MSU, she studied at Docdocdoc School of Contemporary Photography (Misha Domozhilov’s course Documentary Photography and Photojournalism and Feodora Kaplan’s course Contemporary Photography Experiences).
In her artistic practice she focuses on individual and collective memory, identity and diversity, explores inclusion, social issues and personal stories. She is interested in combining different types of images, including collages, and making photobooks and videos.
Finalist of the College Photographer of the Year 77 (2022) competition in Documentary Photographic Project and Portrait categories and Award of Excellence winner in Team Picture Story category.
Besides working with personal projects, she is available for commissioned assignments.
